Today, Jordan Saras shares the story of her Wishes wedding celebration at Walt Disney World. Because she and Josh had already done a courthouse wedding when the military moved them to Hawaii, they chose to skip the ceremony in favor of a family first look and then a reception at Italy Isola in Epcot. They also added a welcome party at the Spirit of Aloha luau (complete with leis they flew in from Hawaii!) and a dessert party at UK Lochside. Jordan offers lots of tips, from saving money on floral and decor by holding their reception during Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival to frank advice for those considering an outdoor daytime reception in Florida in May!

Beautiful photos and venue! Can you get married or have a reception at Beauty and the Beast Castle? If so how much is the venue?
Hi! Be Our Guest Restaurant is not currently offered as a ceremony or reception venue.
Hello Carrie,
I have a few questions about this beautiful location! I am hoping to have a brunch reception here. Do you know if they will allow characters? Also, what time does a brunch reception have to end? And will there be background music playing, or would you need to hire musicians or a DJ? If the answers are in your book, feel free to point me in that direction. Thank you!
Hi Veronica! The answers are on page 85: You can’t have characters or amplified entertainment at outdoor venues during park hours (which is when brunch usually takes place) and they will still have the area music playing for you. Brunch doesn’t have to end by a certain time, but you only get brunch pricing with an 8am, 9am or 9:30am ceremony, so that would be the time-related restriction there (page 9). Hope this helps!
