  1. Great show topic. We had a similar experience to Mindy in that we made our wedding our honeymoon too and that our families coming from far away treated the event as a vacation and it all worked out well. I’ve also had my fair share of Disney food from plated to buffet to all kinds of cake flavors and completely agree that the catering is topnotch. We still have guests tell us that our food was so great and we served (what we thought) was the basic stuff. We didn’t even go “all out”. Great show topic! I sincerely hope that it helps others who are considering a Disney wedding know that it is one of the best decisions they will make. 🙂

    1. Agreed! You might regret not doing what you really wanted for your wedding, but you will never regret following your heart!

  2. I agree 100% with all especially #11.
My fiance and I are major foodies and having both experienced Disneyland and DisneyWorld, we always go on about how delicious the food was.
And you’re absolutely right. Disney definitely knows how to cater to couples without kids. There are so many things to do, things to eat, and experiences to be had that you don’t have to be child to enjoy at Disney resorts.

  3. Mindy, you are so right on every one of these things. People are still talking about our Disney buffet food, our cake, how beautiful it was, etc.

We had a lot of naysayers as we planned our wedding but we stood our ground and did it all our way. We were lucky in that we were older and paying for it all ourselves, but every person who complained and teased ended up loving the experience later.
