On today’s show, hair and makeup artist Patricia LeJeune offers great tips on how to find the right cosmetologist for you, including where to start looking and which questions to ask. She also explains the differences between traditional and airbrush foundation, as well as the differences among the various kinds of airbrush foundation, talks about creating curls from pin-straight hair, and answers the common question, “How should my hair be the morning of my service—clean or dirty?”

Vendor Spotlight: It’s Tasty Too Cakes

Although Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings prohibits the use of outside vendors for food at its events, couples planning events at the Swan & Dolphin, Fulton’s, Coronado Springs, Shades of Green and the hotels of Downtown Disney have the freedom to choose their own wedding cake baker. Likewise, those having Memories Collection events, which do not include cake, or celebrating an anniversary or an engagement may also be interested in some non-Disney options for having a cake delivered to a restaurant or a resort.

On today’s show, I chat with Heather Michaud, owner of It’s Tasty Too, who has provided cakes for numerous events around Walt Disney World. She shares tips on pricing, trends, and flavors; explains the rules surrounding cake designs, especially those incorporating Disney characters; offers advice for those who want to preserve their top layer; and explains how to communicate your wedding cake vision to your baker.

Vendor Spotlight: Men’s Wearhouse Formalwear Delivery

Renting a tuxedo or a suit is a popular option for the men in the wedding party, but it can be a hassle for them to carry it on the plane to Orlando and return it in time. There are two local vendors that will let you submit the guys’ measurements online or over the phone and then deliver formalwear directly to their Disney resort—and pick it up afterward.

Today I chat with Julie Mischa and Cecilia Caldwell from the Winter Garden branch of Men’s Warehouse, who talk about their store’s formalwear delivery service. You’ll learn about the different types of suits available, what’s popular, and whether there are guidelines based on the ceremony’s time of day. Then Julie and Cecilia talk about how to get the guys measured and have their formalwear delivered in time to your Walt Disney World resort for the wedding.

On today’s show I chat with Rev. Kevin Knox, a Methodist minister and one of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings’ approved officiants. Rev Kev has 28 years’ experience and has performed countless weddings at Walt Disney World. Today he answers some of brides’ and grooms’ most common questions, like how to find and choose the right officiant from afar, how to write your own vows, and whether you really need to invite a hired officiant to your rehearsal dinner and reception at Disney.

Live from Disneyland’s Festival of Brides!

Today’s episode comes to you (almost) live from Sunday’s Festival of Brides at the Disneyland Hotel! The Disneyland version of this recurring vendor fair is a special treat because Disney throws open its doors for a glimpse of what a real, live Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding is like.

In addition to photo ops with Cinderella’s Crystal Coach and face time with wedding planners, attendees can view reception venues filled with floral and decor ideas. And, as with every Festival of Brides event, there’s a bridal fashion show, a raffle for door prizes, and plenty of vendors on hand to talk about their services and dispense samples.
